THERAPY SERVICES

At Sunnyside Occupational Therapy, we specialise in helping children develop the skills they need to thrive in their everyday lives. Our goal is to empower children of all abilities to reach their full potential by focusing on their unique needs through play-based and practical therapies.

By addressing physical, emotional, and social challenges, we support children and their families to make everyday tasks

more manageable and enjoyable.

We help your child with

Fine Motor
Skills

We focus on improving small muscle movements, enabling children to grasp, release, and manipulate objects. These skills lay the foundation for handwriting, scissor use, block building, and puzzle solving.

Minor and Major Home Modifications

We help create a safe and accessible home environment by recommending and coordinating modifications, from simple grab rails to larger structural changes, ensuring your child can navigate their space with confidence and ease.

Sensory
Processing

We assist children with sensory sensitivities to process their environment more effectively, reducing overwhelm and increasing comfort in daily life.

Gross Motor
Skills

Our therapy enhances strength, balance, and coordination, helping children build postural control and awareness of their body’s capabilities.

Functional Independence And life skills

We teach everyday skills like dressing, feeding, and personal hygiene, empowering children with disabilities or developmental delays to gain independence.

Adaptive Equipment / Wheelchair Prescriptions

Our team evaluates and integrates specialised equipment, including wheelchairs, splints, and dressing aids, to support mobility and independence.

Play and Social Connection

Through structured and free play, we support children to develop social interactions, problem-solving, and emotional awareness in a safe and nurturing environment.

Attention and Executive Functioning

We help children manage their emotions, maintain focus, and develop positive behaviours, creating a strong foundation for learning and socialising.

 Regulation Skills

We support children in recognising and responding to their emotions, sensory needs, and energy levels, helping them develop strategies to stay calm, focused, and engaged in daily activities.

GROUP PROGRAMS
